About cookies
When you use our website, we store so-called cookies on your computer. This stores information about your use of our website, which pages in our domain are visited, and whether you have clicked into our website from another website. This is done to improve the user experience for you as a visitor.
A cookie is a small text file that is saved by your browser. There are two types of cookies, permanent and temporary. A temporary cookie automatically disappears when you close your browser, while a permanent cookie is saved on your computer for a longer period of time.
Information stored may include technical information about your device, browser version and IP address. Cookies do not, however, contain information such as name, social security number and email address.
If you do not want cookies to be stored in connection with your visit to our website, your browser can be set to automatically refuse the storage of cookies or to inform you each time a website requests to store a cookie. You can also delete previously saved cookies through the browser. More information about cookies can be found on the browser's help pages and on the Swedish Post and Telecom Agency's website.
Your rights
You have the right under the GDPR to receive information about what data we process about you. You also have the right to request that your data be deleted, that the use of the data be restricted in certain cases and that incorrect data be corrected by us. In certain cases, you also have the right to request the transfer of your personal data to another provider (data portability).
Of course, you have the right to opt out of receiving newsletters or marketing communications from us at any time. To exercise this right, you can notify us directly, for example by email. You can also unsubscribe from our emails yourself by clicking "Unsubscribe" at the bottom of the email you have received from us.
You can delete your test results on the portal whenever you want.
Please note that even if you block yourself from a certain type of activity in our register, we may still contact you with important information, such as changed or updated terms and conditions, information about agreements or changes in the law.
On the website of the Swedish Data Protection Authority (IMY), you can read more about what rights you have under GDPR.
Transfer of personal data to third countries
Our aim is that your personal data will always be processed within the EU/EEA. In the event that personal data for which Nordic Gentry is responsible is to be transferred to a country outside the EU/EEA, this will be done in accordance with current data protection legislation, including GDPR. This means that there must be a decision from the EU Commission that the third country ensures an adequate level of protection or that appropriate protective measures have been taken. It may also be that certain exceptions apply under GDPR, for example by you having consented to your personal data being transferred to a third country.
Publishing on Instagram and/or Facebook means that your personal data will be transferred to the USA, which is a third country. The transfer will be in accordance with applicable privacy legislation, including GDPR. However, GDPR does not apply in the USA, which may pose an increased privacy risk, including the possibility for US authorities to access your personal data and your ability to exercise control over your personal data. The transfer is necessary for you to be able to send us messages or participate in our competitions on social media.
