Nordic Gentry Q10100 mg of coenzyme Q10 per dose.

Natural, but decreases with age
Q10 is produced naturally in the body, but levels decline progressively after the age of 30. Unhealthy lifestyle, stress, infections and certain medications (e.g. statins) can accelerate the decline – which is why Q10 is one of the world's most widely used dietary supplements.

Extensive scientific research
Discovered in 1957, Q10 has been the subject of thousands of scientific studies since then. The research covers everything from heart health and energy production to aging and mitochondrial function. We encourage you to read independent research to learn more about Q10.

Smart dosage – 2 capsules/day

Questions & Answers

What is Q10?

Q10 (coenzyme Q10) is a vitamin-like, fat-soluble substance that is produced naturally in the body. It is found in all cells of the body, with the highest concentrations in organs with high energy needs such as the heart, liver, kidneys and muscles. Q10 was discovered in 1957 and has been the subject of extensive scientific research since then.

Why do Q10 levels decrease with age?

The body's ability to produce Q10 progressively declines from around the age of 30. By the age of 40, Q10 levels may have decreased by up to 30%, and by the age of 80, they may have dropped by as much as 60%.

Factors such as stress, unhealthy diet, infections and statin medication can also negatively affect Q10 levels.

Why is your Q10 formulated in coconut oil?

Q10 is a fat-soluble substance, which means it dissolves in fat but not in water. For a fat-soluble substance to be effectively absorbed in the intestine, the presence of fat is required. Our product is therefore formulated in coconut oil so that each capsule already contains the fat needed for absorption.

When should I take Q10 - morning or evening?

We recommend taking the dose of 100 mg Q10 divided; on two occasions for even absorption. 1 capsule in the morning and one capsule in the evening. Take Q10 preferably with a meal containing fat for better absorption.

Do I have to take Q10 with food?

Yes, we strongly recommend that you take Q10 with a meal, preferably one that contains fat. Although each capsule already contains coconut oil, absorption is further enhanced when the product is taken with food.

How long does it take for Q10 to reach equilibrium concentration in the body?

Q10 has a long half-life of approximately 33 hours and it takes approximately 4-7 days to reach steady state in the body with daily intake. For more information about Q10, visit scientific databases such as PubMed.

Can I take Q10 if I am taking medication?

When treated with blood thinning medication (warfarin/Waran) or other medication - consult a doctor before use. Many people who take statins choose to supplement with Q10 as statins can affect Q10 levels, but we always recommend that you consult your doctor first.

Why are the capsules white and not transparent?

Q10 is photosensitive, meaning it can break down when exposed to light. Our white HPMC capsules therefore protect Q10 from light to maintain product quality and stability.

How many capsules should I take per day?

2 capsules daily. We suggest 1 capsule in the morning and 1 capsule in the evening with food to get the full dose of 100 mg of Q10 per day.

Is the product really 100% vegan?

Yes, all ingredients are vegan. The Q10 is produced through bacterial fermentation, the coconut oil is vegetable-based, and the capsules are made from HPMC (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose) - a plant-based cellulose. The product contains no animal ingredients.

How should I store Q10?

Store the product dry and out of direct sunlight, as Q10 is light-sensitive. Keep the jar tightly closed. Keep out of reach of children.
